RIDGID Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
We service all RIDGID SeeSnake camera systems (standard reels, Mini, Compact, microReel, microDrain, NanoReel, etc.), the accompanying monitors (CS-series, DVDPak, etc.), and RIDGID locating devices like NaviTrack or SeekTech receivers and their transmitters. Basically, if it’s a RIDGID inspection camera or pipe locator, we handle it. (If you have other brands of drain cameras, feel free to ask – we might be able to help, but our specialty is RIDGID.)
Absolutely. RIDGID designs their gear to last, and we support older models as well as current ones. Even if you have a legacy SeeSnake system or an out-of-warranty unit, we can source parts or retrofit solutions to get it operational. In cases where parts are completely obsolete, we’ll discuss options (such as upgrading the camera head or cable to a newer version that is compatible). We won’t let your investment go to waste if there’s a way to revive it.
We are an independent repair centre, not directly the RIDGID factory service, but our team is authorized to perform warranty evaluations. If your equipment is still under RIDGID warranty and the failure is due to a defect, we can help facilitate the repair under warranty (or advise if it needs to be sent to an official RIDGID facility). If it’s out of warranty or not covered (e.g. wear and tear or accidental damage), we’ll give you a fair quote for our repair. Either way, we’ll guide you through the process.
We pride ourselves on quick turnaround. Many straightforward repairs (like a cable re-termination or replacing a connector) can be done within 24 to 48 hours. More complex issues or if parts need to be ordered might take longer, but we aim to have all jobs completed in just a few days, not weeks. In emergencies, let us know – we often can shuffle things around to get you back up and running ASAP. Our goal is to minimize your downtime.
We welcome customers from Gympie, Sunshine Coast, Brisbane and beyond. You have options: you can drop off your equipment at our service centre (we’re located conveniently off [Highway/Location; details would be provided]) or send it via courier. We regularly receive shipments of cameras/locators for repair. Once fixed, we can send it back securely. If you’re within our pickup area, we might even arrange a pickup. Contact us and we’ll find the most convenient solution for you.
We understand you might need a camera while yours is in the shop. Our loaner availability is limited (since these units are specialized), but we do have a spare SeeSnake camera setup that we occasionally lend to customers with urgent needs. If you can’t afford any downtime, let’s discuss – if our loaner is free, we’ll set you up with it. (A refundable deposit and usage fee may apply.) For locators, we may also have a spare NaviTrack on hand. We’re here to keep you working.
Repair costs vary based on the issue. We offer free initial evaluation and quotes. Common repairs like replacing a pushrod cable or camera head are done on a flat-rate basis (so you know what to expect). For example, fixing a standard push cable might be a set fee, which we’d confirm with you before proceeding. We’ll always quote you before starting work. Our pricing is competitive and far less than the cost of buying new equipment. No fix, no fee – if we can’t repair it or you choose not to proceed after the quote, you only pay a minimal diagnostic fee (which we’ll waive if possible).
If you have other questions about our services, feel free to give us a call. We’re happy to talk through any concerns – chances are we’ve heard them before and can provide reassurance or advice.
